The Public Health (PH) pillar exists to advance health equity, empower communities, and promote social justice. Through interdisciplinary coursework and hands-on experiences, students work directly with local communities to address health disparities and advocate for marginalized populations. By harnessing collective power and partnering with the community, the program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to drive systemic change and create healthier, more equitable communities.  For more information, questions or requests please email CEC Assistant Director, Jessica Chairez.

Annual Public Health Fair at Pitzer

In the 2024 Spring semester, the CEC hosted the first "Annual Public Health Fair" on Pitzer's campus. This event was created to provide resources to the Pitzer and broader community. A deep consideration the CEC took in planning this health fair, was to ensure that this event was accessible to all Pitzer staff members as means to promote an equitable environment on campus. The center invited 10+ local organizations to provide resources and services to visitors.
