Bio

Ruth (she/her) is a sophomore at Pitzer from Corona, California. She’s interested in Ethnic Studies and believes in Black feminist theory, which emphasizes writing to foster community, understanding, and change. On campus, Ruth is a member of the Pitzer Black Student Union (BSU), Womxn of Color Collective (WCC), and First-Gen. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and listening to music. She hopes to promote a safe space to help strengthen students’ voices in their writing.
